WESON ("we", "us") operates the WESON mobile application, a local marketplace connecting buyers with sellers and service providers in Togo. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Information we collect

Account details you provide: name, phone number, email, city/region, profile photo, and, for sellers, store name, description, category, logo and location.
Content you create: messages, orders, bookings, reviews, reports and support requests.
Location: with your permission, your approximate device location to show nearby stores. You can disable this in your device settings.
Technical data: device type, app version, and diagnostic/usage data needed to run and improve the app.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account; connect buyers and sellers; process and display orders and bookings; deliver messages and notifications; provide customer support; keep the platform safe (fraud, abuse and spam prevention); comply with legal obligations; and improve our services.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information:

With the other party in a conversation or transaction (e.g. a seller sees the buyer's name and messages needed to fulfil an order).
With service providers who host and operate the app on our behalf (e.g. cloud hosting, push-notification delivery), bound by confidentiality.
For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

5. Your rights & account deletion

You can access and update your profile at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or request deletion via our web portal at Account Deletion Request Page. You may also email us to exercise your rights.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

7. Children

WESON is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
